In Oct, 2018, Kid Time lost our founding member, Kathy Stephenson.
Kathy will forever be in our hearts.
Kid Time LLC was established in August, 2004. The owners/operators, Kathy Stephenson and Tara Manwaring, came together for this venture when they saw a need for quality after school care that would provide their children with a physical outlet. Their mission became to allow children the physical exercise they crave, in a safe, spacious, and nurturing environment. Knowing that working parents often have little family time at home after school, the program was then enriched with homework time/help. Add a nutritious snack, and you get Kid Time!
Tara earned her masters degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Dakota, and has 15+ years in various areas of childcare, preschool, and daycare.
Laura Stephenson joined us as our newest owner in January 2019. Laura’s passion for children has followed strongly in her mother Kathy Stephenson’s footsteps. Laura has been working for Kid Time since 2016. She managed our Mill Creek location for 2 years and is now the Lead Director of Kid Time Cares, our full day preschool and infant daycare. Laura completed her AA in Early Childhood Education at BCCC in May 2019. In Dec 2022, she received her BA in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Business Administration from Holy Family University.
